Most sources of dietary fats don’t have a good reputation. However, there are a few exceptions like ghee, which is in fact good for health. The importance of ghee from health perspective can be understood from the fact that it is an indispensable component of Ayurveda, the traditional Indian medicine.
Ghee is a rich source of nutrients like vitamin E, vitamin A, antioxidants and other organic compounds. Unlike butter, ghee does not include milk solids, which makes it easier for adults who are lactose intolerant to digest it. Ghee also has a higher smoke point than plain butter, which makes it healthier for cooking.
